Songs For Slim – First Success, Now Second Single

A few weeks back, I mentioned that the Replacements were putting out an EP to raise funds for their ex-mate Slim Dunlap, who had a stroke last year. The EP auction has so far raised over 106,000. Copy #1 of this limited edition release sold for $10,000.

The second Songs For Slim auction item goes up on eBay Feb. 15  – a limited edition single (100 copies) with Steve Earle on one side – covering Dunlap’s “Times Like This,” while the Hold Steady‘s Craig Finn holds court on the other side with his rendition of Slim’s “Isn’t It?”

By the way, if you want a digital copy of the Replacements’ EP, it will be available on March 5. For more info., visit SongsForSlim.com, while the auction can be found on eBay via the ID “NewWestAuction.”
