Kino Lorber will be releasing the documentary in select theaters before making it available on VOD and home video.

Director Jacob Hatley spent over 2 years filming the Americana music icon Levon Helm, beginning with him working on his “comeback” album, Dirt Farmer, and shows the former Band drummer dealing with his rejuvenated music career as well as his health issues.

Helm, who passed away back in April, recently was featured as the cover story for American Songwriter Magazine and was the subject earlier this month of a star-studded “Love For Levon” tribute concert, which featured performances by the likes of Gregg Allman, Mavis Staples, Joe Walsh and Lucinda Williams.
