Jim Lauderdale, who just hosted the Americana Music Awards, is doubling his odds of being a nominee next year as he has two albums that are coming up before the year’s end.

Compass Records has Carolina Moonrise ready for a Sept. 25 release.
Then on December 11, New West Records will put out Buddy & Jimmy, the long-awaited collaboration between Lauderdale and his longtime friend, and fellow Americana icon, Buddy Miller. For this duets disc, the two have fashioned a Fifties-style country album stocked with covers and originals. The two will also being hosting a SiriusXM radio show on the Outlaw Country channel.
