Hey New Yorkers: The Baseball Project At The Met, April 13

Baseball and Rock ‘n’ Roll. Two great things that can go great together, when in the hands of the Baseball Project. The Yep Roc band will be going high-brow when they perform at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on April 13. The museum has a small and wonderful exhibition of baseball cards that focus on Jackie Robinson and the other heroic pioneers of Major League integration. The Met first will host a panel discussion featuring former MLB all star Dale Murphy, columnists Bill Rhoden and Sean Kirst, and Jackie Robinson’s Sharon Robinson. After the talk, the Baseball Project (Steve Wynn, Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck, Linda Pitmon and special guest Mike Mills) will perform their baseball-themed tunes.
