Goat Road Sessions Goes To The Movies

The superstar instrumental collective that goes by the moniker The Goat Rodeo Sessions will be hitting the big screen on Jan. 31 when their Boston House of Blues performance will be beamed live to theaters across the country. This ensemble, which contains the hard-to-contain talents of cellist Yo-Yo Ma, fiddler Stuart Duncan, bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile, describes a “goat rodeo” as “a situation in which a thousand things must go right in order for something to work.” However, with all of this instrumental firepower, the performance should be interesting even though things don’t go right. As an added treat, special guest vocalist Aoife O’Donovan will be singing with the band. For more information, visit www.FathomEvents.com
