Discovery: knockandrock.com

I came across a clever website today. Knock and Rock (www.knockandrock.com). The concept is pretty simple. A band and a small crew walk around an L.A. neighborhood, knocking on random doors and asking if they can “rock.” Actually, so far, I’ve just seen acoustic “rocking.”

The latest entry is the L.A. duo Soft Swells http://www.softswells.com/, who impress on their couple numbers – something to whet one’s appetite for their full length self-titled debut that comes up Feb. Feb. 28 on Modern Outsider Records.

Not only is entertaining to watch them play but it’s also interesting to see meeting the neighborhood folks and see who will say yes. The website says that new videos go up on Mondays.

So the next time there’s a knock at your door, it might be the folks from Knock and Rock with a free show to offer.
